We will embark on an easy walk through the old and narrow streets of the old town of Basel. We will weave Switzerland's unique history into the local stories of Basel and see how many things can still be observed in its modern trends. From a thousand year old cathedral to some of the world's most renowned museums, Basel has so much to offer. Come and join me on a scenic and fascinating walk through Basel.
"In Basel I founded the Jewish state", said Benjamin Theodor Herzl, the founding father and visionary of the Zionist movement. Basel played a pivotal role in the history of Zionism, as the host of the first Zionist Congress in 1897. On this tour we will delve deep into the Jewish history of Basel with its three Jewish communities it had over its history, and even visit the Stadtcasino concert hall, where the Zionist Congress took place.
This tour is for those who are just as interested in tasting as much as listening. Basel is located in the three countries corner, and accordingly, it has borrowed many fine delicacies from its French and German neighbours. Nevertheless, it is still Swiss in heart and soul and so it offers a beautiful Swiss, French, German fusion cuisine. On top of that, Basel is the most intercultural city in all of Switzerland, so on top of the local tastings, we will make sure not to skip some delicious international representatives showing the city's diversity.
For those who want to earn their calories. We'll start with a walking tour of the Old Town, seeing the city's most iconic monuments. Only after we have seen the city and listened to its stories, will we taste Switzerland's two flagship products — cheese and chocolate, of course.
Pedalling is the perfect way to experience a new place! This bike tour starts along the river close to the Old Town of Basel. We will ride along the Rhine past the Tinguely Museum until we cross to an artificial island in the middle of the river to see an impressive hydropower station combined with a beautiful recreational area and nature conservation project. We'll enjoy views of the Rhine locks system, then loop back to the Old Town to visit the Münster Cathedral and the farmers market, where we'll spend time getting a coffee or tasting a local delicacy before finishing the tour.

This full-day experience explores the unique border region where Switzerland, Germany, and France meet, combining history, nature, gastronomy, and wine into one seamless journey. The day begins in Basel with a guided walk through the historic Old Town, including a traditional Rhine ferry crossing and a relaxed coffee and pastry stop. From Basel, the tour continues into Germany's Black Forest for a scenic walk and farm-to-table lunch. In the afternoon, the journey leads into the vineyards of Alsace in France for a guided walk through the vineyards and a private wine tasting. Fully hosted throughout the day, this experience offers a relaxed and authentic way to discover three cultures, three landscapes, and three culinary traditions in a single day.
